CMA IND Certification Process

Eligibility Criteria for CMA Foundation Course

To embark on the Foundation Course for the ICAI CMA, candidates must meet the following criteria:

(a) Successful completion of Class 10 or an equivalent qualification from a recognized Board or Institution.

(b) Passed the Senior Secondary Examination under the 10+2 scheme of a recognized Board or an equivalent examination recognized by the Central Government. Alternatively, candidates may have passed the National Diploma in Commerce Examination held by the All India Council for Technical Education or any State Board of Technical Education under the authority of the said All India Council. The Diploma in Rural Service Examination conducted by the National Council of Higher Education is also accepted.

Candidates awaiting results can apply for provisional admission.

Fee: Prospective students can obtain the prospectus at a cost of Rs. 250.

Documents to be Enclosed with the Application Form:

For online registration, candidates need to provide the following documents:

  • Attested Copy of Matriculation Certificate
  • Attested copy of 10+2 Certificate or Marks Statement
  • Three passport-size photographs (One pasted on the application form, one on the identity card, and one attached to the application). Attestation can be done by any member of The Institute of Cost Accountants of India, The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, The Institute of Company Secretaries of India, Parliament, State Legislative Assembly, or a Gazetted Officer, or a Principal of a college.

Application Timeline:

Admission to the Foundation Course is open throughout the year. However, candidates aiming to appear for the June Term Examination should apply before January 31st of that year, and for the December Term Examination, applications should be submitted before July 31st of that year.

Intermediate Course:

Eligibility for Admission for CMA Intermediate Course:

Candidates seeking admission to the Intermediate Course must fulfill the following criteria:

(a) Passed Senior Secondary School Examination (10+2) and the Foundation Course of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India, or Graduation in any discipline other than Fine Arts, or Foundation (Entry Level) Part I Examination of CAT of the Institute, or Foundation (Entry Level) Part I Examination and Competency Level Part II Examination of CAT of the Institute.

(b) Passed the Foundation of ICSI/Intermediate of ICAI, along with 10+2.

(c) Refer to Annexure VI of the prospectus for a list of other qualifying examinations.

Candidates awaiting results can apply for provisional admission.
